- Once installed, keep the windows closed for 24 hours to allow the set to settle into the channel and the clips to set into place
The whole job
- Wind the window fully downAll the way, so the channel is clear and nothing is trapped when you start.
- Wipe the channelOne pass along the inside of the channel, so it is clean and dry.
- Seat the deflectorSlide the lip in at the front corner, then press it home a few inches at a time working backwards, exactly as a clip-free set goes in.
- Fit the clipsPush a clip over the deflector and the channel edge at each marked point, front first. They should click and sit flush — if one stands proud, the deflector under it is not fully seated.
- Raise the window slowlyHand-speed for the first close, checking it seals all the way along. Then repeat on the other side.
Worth knowing
- Fit the clips front to back. Starting in the middle leaves the front edge slightly long and the last clip will not reach.
- If a clip will not click home, the deflector beneath it is proud — re-seat that section rather than forcing the clip.
- Keep the windows shut for the first 24 hours so the set settles into the channel, and leave the car wash for 24 hours too.
